1. Bucholz with variable [37]
a. For Best and Weakest game dropped are counted as "0",
b. For not played games (forfeit, bye, etc) is "compute with real points"
c. For adding own points is "No"
d. For dropped players is counted as "No points (for all rounds)"
2. SB with variable [52]
a. variables are the same as above
3. Personal Encounter (P.E)
4. Cumulative Scores
Only in the situations where there are more than one player sharing 1st place, the Personal
Encounter (PE) shall be the first Tie Break used to determine the Champion.
If the P.E. Tie Break is not available i.e. players did not play with one another in the earlier
rounds, or the earlier encounter resulted in a draw, a double round playoff shall be played
between the 2 players.
In the event that there are more than 2 players tying for 1st place, P.E. between all the
players involved will be used to determine the Champion. If the P.E. table does not yield an
outright Champion, a double round robin playoff shall be played between all the players
involved with any P.E. from the earlier rounds to be included as part of the results
o The player securing the highest number of points shall be declared the outright
Champion for 2011
Seeding for the Round Robin shall be based on player’s final ranking achieved from the
championship
Time Control for the playoff shall be dependent on the number of players playing in the play
off. In all situation, there will be no incremental time given to the players
o If there are two(2) players playing in the playoff, the time control shall be 25 minutes
per player per game with no incremental time given

o If there are more than eight(8) players playing in the playoff, the time control shall be
5 minutes per player per game with no incremental time given
Once the round robin playoff has concluded and the final result has failed to yield an outright
Champion, the earlier result from the Championship will be used as the final Tie Break to
determine the Champion for players sharing the top score in the round robin playoff.
Once the outright Champion has been determined, the remaining players from the round
robin playoff shall be ranked in accordance to the earlier result from the Championship AND
NOT from the round robin play off result.
Player who is not able to play, or refuse to play in the playoff, shall be considered to have
forfeited all their games. The players final ranking shall be repositioned to the last place in
comparison to all the players that have participated in the round robin playoff.
